Joining Moonhouse

Moonhouse is a queer- & trans-facilitated moon circle. These are the values that we hold together when we gather:

  • Ritual without dogma. Bring your own beliefs (or none).

  • Consent-led & body-led. Opt in/out anytime; move at your pace.

  • Belonging & dignity. We practice step up/step back, make space for those most impacted, and center safety.

  • Lineage respect; no appropriation. Open practices and our own lineages only. If in doubt, we ask or skip it.

  • Witness over fixing. We see each other; we don’t solve each other.

  • Care & repair. Impact over intent; we pause, name, and make it right.

What to Expect

  • Arrival: welcome + short grounding.

  • Group activity: guided meditation/journey, a simple ritual, or a mindful practice (nature art, contemplative walk).

  • Closing: gratitude + gentle aftercare suggestions.
    (Circles run ~60 - 75 minutes and stay low-key if we’re outdoors.)

  • Accessibility will vary by venue.

  • No photos of others without consent (option photos after closing).

What to Bring

  • Chair, blanket, or cushion (venue-dependent)

  • Journal + pen

  • Water

  • Weather-ready layers (for outdoor circles)

  • Optional: an offer for the shared altar (you can take it home after!)

Lineage, Land, & Thanks

I work within lineage-aligned European folkways from my ancestry and Southern/Appalachian settler traditions. I don’t use closed Indigenous or African-diasporic practices. Herbs and materials are ethically sourced.

We will gather on Puyallup (spuyaləpabš) homelands. The Puyallup people have lived on this land since the beginning of time. They are still here today. They live, work, raise their children, take care of their community, practice their traditional ways and speak the Twulshootseed language – just as their ancestors did.
